Albumio
Terms of Service
Albumio helps you keep track of your sticker albums and swap the ones you have twice with a collector standing next to you.
It is free, it needs no account, and your collection lives on your phone, not on our server. Everything you do with your albums works with no internet at all; the internet is used only to fetch ads, which the app may let you switch off with a one-off purchase. Export a backup, because we cannot restore what we never had.
Albumio ("the app") is published by QuneticLabs LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States, "we" or "us".
These terms are the agreement between you and us about using the app. By installing or using it you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the app only with the agreement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms with you.
For questions, contact info@quneticlabs.com. Privacy is covered separately, in the Albumio Privacy Policy.
Everything in this version is free, needs no account, and works with no internet connection:
- keeping one or more sticker albums, marking what you have, what you need and what you have twice
- family mode — separate collections for several collectors sharing one phone
- swapping in person with a QR code — the two phones show each other a code and work out the swap between themselves
- statistics about your collection
- exporting and importing your own backup file
- reading sticker numbers with the camera
There is no account to create and nothing you have to buy.
The app is free and pays for itself by showing ads. They are served by Google AdMob, and what reaches Google is described in our privacy policy.
The app may offer Settings → Remove ads, a one-off purchase that switches off every ad for good. It is not offered in every version of the app: if you do not see it in Settings, it is not available yet. Where it is offered, it is the only thing in the app that costs money, and it changes nothing else: albums, swapping, statistics and backups are the same before and after.
- The purchase is handled by your app store — Google Play or the App Store — and is tied to the store account you bought it with, not to us. There is no account with us to lose.
- Refunds are the store's to give, under its own rules. Write to us and we will help, but we cannot reverse a payment we never received.
- If you get a new phone, use Restore purchase in the same place. There is no account, so the store is what remembers.
- We may change the price for new buyers. A purchase you have already made is not affected.
If the app ever stops showing ads to everyone, nothing is owed to anyone who paid to remove them — they will simply have paid for something that is now free for all, and we will not treat that as a reason to charge for anything else.
There is no age limit and no account. This version connects you to nobody: swapping needs both phones to be in the same place, so the other collector is someone you are standing next to.
A later version is planned to add an optional account for swapping with collectors further away. That will carry an age limit and its own terms, and it will not change what this version does.
The app works out what two collectors could swap. What happens next is between the two of you.
- We are not a party to a swap, and not an agent or escrow for either side.
- We never hold, inspect or insure stickers.
- We do not verify that anybody actually owns what their phone says they own.
If a swap goes badly, we cannot recover a sticker or make anyone hand one over. Since both of you are in the same place when you swap, this is a much smaller risk than swapping by post — which this version does not do.
Meeting another collector is your decision and your responsibility. If you are a young person, swap with people you know, or take a parent or guardian with you.
Your albums, sticker counts and trade history are on your phone. They are yours, and we have no copy.
Export a backup before you change phones or delete the app — Settings → Save backup. The file is yours to keep.
We cannot restore your data. Not as a policy, but as a fact: we never had it. If you lose the phone without a backup, that collection is gone, and there is nothing we can do about it.
The app itself, its name, its design and its code are ours or our licensors'.
The albums and sticker lists that come with the app are our own templates. Publisher and album names are used only to say which album you are collecting. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Panini or any other publisher.
Do not copy the app, take it apart to republish it, or use our name for something we did not make.
The app is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it working, but we do not promise it will be free of errors.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live, and nothing here excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that: the app itself is free. The only thing you can ever pay us for is removing ads, where the app offers it (§ 03). If you have bought it, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for it. If you have not, you have paid us nothing and our liability is limited to what the law requires of a free service. We are not liable for a swap between collectors (§ 05), or for data lost from your own phone (§ 06).
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you are a consumer, you can also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, and choosing the law above does not take away the protection of your local consumer law.
We may change these terms — for example when the app gains a feature. If a change affects you, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the app after that, the new terms apply.
